-> Download <-

How to configure:

When all will be installed you can start settings.

First you need add id=’forajax’ in you template where is shown component and message.

<div id="forajax">
  <jdoc:include type="message" />
  <jdoc:include type="component" />

If id already exist enter it in plugin configuration in the field ‘Content CSS id’.

After then you can go to the main page and make sure that the plugin works.

You can also update the modules for each page. There are two ways: semi-automatically or manually, using ‘fullajax_tmpl’.
For semi-automatically do next, step by step:

  • 1. Go to edit you a template file index.php. There need to add ID for each position what you plan to update.
    Example for breadcrumbs and user3:

    <div id="pathway">
    	<jdoc:include type="modules" name="breadcrumbs" />
    <div id="myCoolModule">
    	<jdoc:include type="modules" name="user3" />
  • 2. Go to plugin configuration. There need enter position parameters in field “Position parameters”.Like next: position:id|position2:id2.
    Example for breadcrumbs and user3:

  • 3. Now set item Enable Positions update as semi-automatically. After save all should work.

Item manually, using ‘fullajax_tmpl’ need for advanced configuration . You can read about it in the previous article How to update more than one module with Ajax.

If the module looks the same on every page you do not need to update it.

If in you menu exist item for edit or add article you need add id this item(s) (see in you Menu Manager ) in plugin configuration in the field ‘Ignore menu items (id)’, because otherwise the editor will not work. You can also block other menu items if need (something like: login, logout, etc).

    I’m using the semi-automatic position to update my modules on the pages you want, but the module is not updated, not to know oq doing wrong, just an updated position modulo the other not, how am I doing in your example

    I put the plugin (breadcrumbs: pathway | user3: myCoolModule)

    but only the first position updates the module, the second does not work,

    Any solution to this?

      can be that in you template exist something like:
      “display module”

      this need change to simple “display module” without if()
